This year for Mothers’ Day we visited the Filoli Estate in Woodside. This estate is where the TV show, Dynasty, was filmed.
It has many beautiful gardens and this door between them. The carving is amazing.
The weather wasn’t particularly warm or sunny, but I think that made the lushness of the plants and flowers stand out even more.
What a beautiful find! I love your Thursday door theme.

Thanks! This is a picture of a door that I took before I was doing Thursday doors. It’s a lovely place.

Besides the beautiful carving, it’s a very solid door! And I like the arch as well.

These doors remind me of the doors in this link: http://www.morsemuseum.org/collection-highlights/architectural-ornament/teak-doors. I’ve seen the Morse Museum doors up close at the museum; they are phenomenal.

Yes, that kind of ornate, over-the-top accessorizing is something we almost never do here in the states while Europe is littered with such treasures so it’s nice to see here once in a while.
