Some days summer is in the air. I had my last teaching days this week and the students, the teachers, and the SciSci instructors were all feeling it.
One of the schools where I teach is in the town of Pacifica, right around the corner from the ocean. It is not one of my regular schools but I sub there occasionally for one of the other instructors. I always marvel at how the teachers and students get any work done, being so close to the beach. But they do.
Our first class of the day was cancelled because of student misbehavior; some inappropriate graffiti was marked on a thank-you poster for the corporate donor who makes our program possible. No one fessed up.
Since I’m not often in Pacifica, I went out after teaching to find a geocache and there were plenty of them still around that I hadn’t found yet. The one I ended up finding was on a suburban street, and I parked behind this truck. This is the picture that contains today’s “Thursday door.”
Summer is almost here, and pretty soon we’re all going to be going to the beach for a barbecue!
Thursday Doors is a weekly feature allowing door lovers to come together to admire and share their favorite door photos from around the world. Feel free to join in on the fun by creating your own Thursday Doors post each week and then sharing it, between Thursday morning and Saturday noon (North American eastern time) at Norm 2.0’s blog here.
Well that will bring a smile to just about anyone’s face. Nice find 🙂
